The event was chaired by CFCC Deputy Chairman, Cllr Chris Buckwell.

The talk covered the 54 Commonwealth member states and the slides are attached. The Commonwealth is home to 2.4 billion people, and includes both advanced economies and developing countries. Commonwealth members work together to promote prosperity, democracy and peace, amplify the voice of small states, and protect the environment.

Ruth Barry (BSc MSc MBA) is a Conservative Party activist supporting various national and local party groups, including chairing Conservative Friends of East Africa. She is a Regional Adviser for the Commonwealth Foundation, Terrestres Servo Coronas–TSC.

Ruth works in the international property market supporting clients with international property Investments and refurbishments, in both developing and leading economies.

The company’s head office is located in London, with offices based in East African Commonwealth countries, including Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.
