The purpose of the Conservative Foreign & Commonwealth Council is to provide a forum for the discussion of international relations to promote greater understanding and awareness as a not for profit organisation. We are non-campaigning and visit embassies, high commissions and host all-party events in Parliament.
We have been previously affiliated to the Conservative Party and our historic constitution can be found below. We are currently tracked by the Bodleian Libraries web archiving programme for the benefit of future historians.
Our highlight of the year is the Annual Diplomatic Party attended by close to 40 Ambassadors/High Commissioners every summer. During the year we invite prominent speakers and Heads of Missions to hear their view of foreign affairs and to discuss perspectives.
We are supported by notable Patrons and our President, Rt Hon Baroness Chalker of Wallasey FRGS, not to mention our highly loyal members. Our membership comprise members and friends of the Conservative Party and we hold events with cross party groups.
