Ukrainian Delegation to UK Houses of Parliament

With Rt Hon Lord Taylor of Holbeach CBE and Rt Hon Baroness Neville-Jones

Five members of the Lviv City Council, led by the Deputy Mayor, were in London on 21 and 22 October.  Their visit will focussed on Parliament and they talked about the course of the war and its impact on the economy and daily life. It was a fascinating opportunity to hear from those directly involved in managing the effects on Ukraine of more than a year and a half of Russian aggression.

Delegation Members

  • Serhiy Kiral, Deputy Mayor for international cooperation and former member of parliament (2014-19) 
  • Valeriy Veremchuk, Councillor of the Lviv City Council, Head of the Health and Social Protection Commission: – “Development of the UNBROKEN Humanitarian Ecosystem in Lviv”;
  • Ruslan Voloshyn,– Owner and Technical Director of “Art-Energo”: “Alternative energy production and storage system (EPSS). Autonomous work of enterprises and households, with the help of EPSS in condition of war”;
  • Oleksandr Kobetiak, Co-owner and the CEO of Nova Food (industrial production of confectionery products for ice cream: sugar waffle cones, cookies): “Nova Food: Building amidst war —how our confectionery business in Ukraine succeeded and is poised to enter the UK ice cream market”;
  • Taras Vorko – Councillor of the Lviv City Council, Head of Public organization “Ukrainian British House” -  Final summary speech.
