A good number of diplomatic corps graced the CFCC Annual Garden Party this year. Sir Ronald Halstead CBE, President, spoke as did Lord Sheikh: he was brought up in Kenya and Uganda and can speak 7 languages. He arrived penniless in the UK. He expressed the view of UK businesses as a whole being "keen to build trade links with countries outside the EU, as well as maintaining strong relationships with America and the EU and in particular the Commonwealth".
